Blockstack will pay off someone’s entire student loan debt (up to $60K/person) → Enter now
Blockstack PBC is launching a campaign to educate students and others about Web 3.0 technology. 2019 kicked off with over $1.5 trillion in U.S. student loan debt. The average student in the Class of 2016 has $37,172 in student loan debt. On an average salary, a loan of this size could theoretically take anywhere from 10 to 25 years (at a rate of $200-$600/month) to pay off.
Student loan debt is a crippling crisis that is limiting future options of those who seek education. It’s an artifact of the old world where people are not being empowered or setup for success. It slows innovation and stifles human potential.
At Blockstack we’re enabling a user-controlled internet. We want to educate the next-generation about the potential of Web 3.0. We were inspired to do what we can to free some of you from the broken system of student debt while educating the world about the possibilities of Web 3.0.
Today we’re introducing ‘Delete Your Debt’. Delete Your Debt will pay off a new person’s entire student loan debt on a weekly basis, up to $60,000. Entering is as easy as visiting deleteyourdebt.co and signing up for a free Blockstack ID. Entering once makes you eligible for all drawings.
As a Public Benefit Corporation dedicated to empowering people through Web 3.0 technology, we believe everyone should be free to own their digital data, and future. Delete Your Debt is an extension of that same mission; it frees people from broken systems and unlocks their full potential.
Muneeb Ali, CEO of Blockstack PBC, said: “Our educational campaign that pays off student debt makes sense for Blockstack’s core belief of a life free from corporate control. This is an initiative that I would have loved to participate in as a struggling computer science student. I moved from Pakistan to Sweden and lived off the dollar menu and whatever food was available in the research labs, so I can completely relate to feeling stifled by taking on so much debt in order to get my career off the ground. We want to show students that they can take back control of their data and financial freedom.”
If you or someone you know has student loan debt, please share this opportunity with them. In addition to earning an entry for setting up your Blockstack ID, which allows you to use any of the more than 270 secure apps on the network, you can also multiply your entries by participating in the Blockstack ecosystem and referring friends.
