#FutureProof: Resilient Networks and Resilient People

As a community dedicated to building a user-owned internet, many of us have already begun exploring the ways in which an increasingly digital existence will impact life. There are problems to solve, pitfalls to avoid, and opportunities to be had and you might be asking things like: Are there new ways I should be thinking about earning a living and saving money? What kind of systems and networks can I rely on? How do we make sure we don’t make the mistakes of the current internet? What can I do today to put myself in a better position in the future?

To answer these questions and more, the creators of Trustless 2020, DeFi Discussions Summit, and the Blockstack Annual Summit have combined forces to bring you a one-of-a-kind virtual conference: #FutureProof. Beginning on August 1st, this technical summit hosted by Dystopia Labs and Blockstack PBC will focus on:

  • Practical Preparation: How you can be ready and even thrive if the system changes or crumbles.
  • Self-Sovereignty & Privacy: Explore building more resilient systems, learn how on-chain data works, & more.
  • Mining Innovation: Learn about new trends in mining and what is making them so key to realizing a user-owned internet.

At #FutureProof, you’ll be joined by guests like Brittany Kaiser (Whistleblower at Cambridge Analytica, Co-founder of #OwnYourData), Jameson Lopp (Co-founder and CTO, Casa), Muneeb Ali (Co-founder and CEO, Blockstack PBC), Mark Tyneway (Core-Developer, Handshake), as well as many others to be announced soon.
